Where’s the bacon? I see your bacon sundae…and raise you 15 strips to add to your Whopper for only $1.25 (100 Yen). Yup in an all out bacon war against America, Burger King Japan will add 500% extra bacon to your burger…which is only a 42% higher risk for heart disease and a 19% increased risk for type 2 diabetes.

The trade-off works for me.

After you’ve mopped up all that drool, take a look at those crazy guys from Japanese site Rocketnews24 who asked for a total of 1,050 strips of bacon on their burger. That’s adding over 58,000 calories to a Whopper.

Burger King is not the first chain to indulge in the bacon craze; last year Denny’s rolled out a bacon maple sundae, while more recently, Jack in the Box added a bacon-flavored milkshake.
