The days of lovingly created handcrafted cookies that Pepperidge Farms was known for are long gone.
As the story goes, it was a legacy of an American hero, a woman who baked bread in her kitchen to send to soldiers overseas during World War II with the intent of giving them a little taste of home.
That was the legacy which built Pepperidge Farm breads and today we have people posting photos of cookies that would have never made it past quality control.
