The fine folks at Hungry Happenings created these wicked-cool chocolate filled graduation caps by molding  mortarboard caps around the undersides of a muffin pan… then simply stuffed them with M&Ms and made tassels with white modeling chocolate.

To help sell the notion that there’s no better way to spend an evening than with a pizza and a movie, Domino’s Pizza in Brazil created custom DVDs with a heat-reactive flavored varnish that actually smelled like pizza once they were played.

When users finished watching the movie and ejected the disc and the whole house will smell like a fresh hot pizza right out of the oven.

The discs, which included such popular titles as Argo and The Dark Knight Rises, are printed with a thermal ink so not only did they smell like pizza when removed from a DVD player, they also looked like one too with the message: “Did you enjoy the movie? The next one will be even better with a hot and delicious Domino’s Pizza.”

Your diet is going to have to wait, cause if there ever was a more perfect food ever…this is it.

Sarah J. Gim took some glazed donuts and slow churn ice cream to make the sandwiches. She froze them, then dipped them in melted chocolate and undoubtedly made the world a better place.

Coffee Ice Cream Glazed Doughnut Sandwiches

It is best to assemble these doughnut sandwiches, dip them in chocolate, and eat them right away while the ice cream is frozen, the doughnuts are fresh, and chocolate is still a little melty.

You could make them in advance, chocolate and all, then freeze them to eat later (we did for a few too many), but the chocolate gets really hard (as do the doughnuts) and actually, we recommend that you NOT freeze-for-later at all. So never mind. Just make them and eat them.

Ingredients

for each sandwich, you will need:
1 doughnut, any kind you like
1 generous scoop of coffee ice cream (we used Dreyer’s/Edy’s Slow Churned Coffee!)
melted chocolate (we poured a bag of chocolate chips into a small heavy-bottomed saucepan and melted it over extremely low heat)

Directions

Remove ice cream from freezer and let sit on counter top to soften ever so slightly while you prepare the doughnuts.

Slice each doughnut in half around the middle. Our tool recommendation: a long, serrated bread knife.

Place a generous scoop of ice cream on a small plate. Using a spatula, flatten the scoop of ice cream to the same diameter as your doughnuts. Place the flattened scoop of ice cream on half the doughnut. “Close” the sandwich with the other half of the doughnut.

Place prepared doughnut sandwiches in freezer temporarily.

Melt your chocolate.

Remove sandwiches from freezer. Dip each sandwich into melted chocolate.

Serve immediately, with lots of napkins. It’s very messy. Sticky glaze, melting ice cream, oozing chocolate…

Just in time for Memorial Day…It’s as if they read the minds of bacon lovers everywhere: Oscar Mayer on Monday introduced five new hot dogs, one of which has bacon cooked right into it.

Not counting the bun, Oscar Mayer’s new bacon dogs clock in at 130 calories and have 11 grams of fat, 35 milligrams of cholesterol, and 270 milligrams of sodium each. That makes a couple of bacon dogs better for you than a McDonald’s Big Mac (550 calories, 29 grams of fat, 75 milligrams of cholesterol, 970 milligrams of sodium).

This is the best thing I have ever seen.

All you have to do is slide your fries and hamburger into designated slots in this cardboard purse, slip the cup into the hole at the bottom, fold and grab by the handles and get home as fast as you can so you can wolf it down.

The menu item consists of a folded waffle filled with a sausage folded over some scrambled eggs. There’s a packet of syrup on the side to sweeten the deal.
